Kicking off a monthly beauty favourites series on my blog today. I will be featuring a few beauty products every month that I have used and absolutely recommend. My skin is normal to dry, so if that sounds like yours, then you can bet most of this stuff will work well for you too. I will also feature some hair products. Read on below to know my monthly beauty favourites for March.

Clarins – Gentle Foaming Cleanser

Ok, this cleanser is literally my favourite. Can you tell by the way it has been squeezed till the last bit? I’m still trying to squeeze more, haha. I’ve been using it for over two years and no other cleanser has compared yet. It instantly makes my face feel completely clean and healthy looking, making it the perfect base to apply further skin care products.

Philosophy – Renewed Hope Day and Night Moisturizer Duo

I’ve always wanted to try Philosophy’s skincare products. I was lucky to have been gifted a few items during a recent event by the Philosophy Canada team. I received their 3-in-1 cleanser, the day and night moisturizers, serum, and body lotion. They’ve all been great but this month I will be talking specifically about the Renewed Hope in a Jar day and night moisturizers. When I use both of them in combination, I know my face is guaranteed around the clock hydration. Not to mention, the day cream has the most delicate, beautiful and refreshing fragrance. The night cream is much heavier, making it perfect for our skin’s nightly cell-renewal cycle. I’ve also been loving the Time in a Bottle serum in conjunction with these moisturizers, but more about that in the next Monthly Beauty Favourites segment.

Matrix – Biolage Scalpsync Anti-Dandruff Shampoo

I’m not even gonna pretend like dandruff is a bad thing and shouldn’t be talked about. It’s real shit and I like talking about real shit. I got a lot of dandruff due to recent stressors in my personal life and a whole lot of travel involving weather ups and downs. My mom who happens to be a beautician for the past 25 or so years recommended the Biolage Anti-Dandruff Shampoo and it has been working really well. I can finally wear my all black outfits without feeling uncomfortable and conscious. Ps. It’s a myth that washing your hair too often is a bad thing when you are battling dandruff issues. The more you wash it, the faster it will be cured!

Kerastase – Elixir Ultime Masque

I have to admit, I haven’t felt the need to use a hair mask for many years. I guess it’s because I stopped colouring my hair and it didn’t feel like I needed the extra nourishment. However, that definitely changed within the past year and my hair was in desperate need for some soul food. I’ve been using the Kerastase Elixir Ultime Masque for the past few months and needless to say, it is very nourishing. My hair feels extremely soft and looks well nourished after using this mask. The star ingredients happen to be these four oils: Pracaxi for resistance, Argan for protection, Camelia for shine, and Maize for nutrition. This hair mask is perfect to use once a week when you have a little bit of extra time to pamper yourself with a long shower.
