I had the opportunity of attending Day 2 of Toronto Women’s Fashion Week this past Friday. With it being one of the coldest and windiest days this winter, I was almost about to cancel, because 1) It would be insane to wear this outfit out and 2) I wasn’t going to change the outfit I had planned out. Well as you can clearly see, I ended up going, in that outfit, and I shot it in the cold as well!
Needless to say, it was entirely worth it. I spent the evening with Annika of Fernweh Society and we really enjoyed both shows by David Dixon and Rachel Sin. Being my first time attending fashion week, one of the biggest things I was surprised about how short the shows are. I guess I always just assumed they’re longer and I’ve heard a lot of first timers say the same. I didn’t attend any of the other shows, but I have loved following along on social media. One of the biggest trends I saw at TWFW and other fashion weeks as well was sheer overlays. I’m excited to try that out this summer over jeans, shorts and mini skirts. I’m really glad Toronto Women’s Fashion Week is back to Toronto and I’m already excited for the SS 2018 shows this Fall. Did you guys see any? Which ones were your favourites?
